Anthony received his B.S. in Business Management/Economics from Fitchburg State College. He also received his A.S. in Small Business Management from Quinsigamond Community college. In addition, Anthony is an American Council Level III Gold Certified Personal Trainer and certified in the health and fitness industry for over 18 years and continues to devote his time to help change other's lives. When not at the club, Anthony is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing and skiing and is very skilled in carpentry.
Joyce has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Salem State College.  She is a Certified Personal Trainer and has worked in the fitness industry for the past 8 years.

Joyce can assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the club.  Along with being the Assistant General Manager here at Fitness Concepts, Joyce also teaches many Group Fitness classes.

Marianne is a Fitness Consultant, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor here at Fitness Concepts. She would be more than happy to show you around the club and answer any questions you may have about membership options.  She would also enjoy taking time to meet with you about your exercise program, or motivate you in your very next Group Fitness class! 

Marianne graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology. Marianne has worked in the fitness industry for over ten years. During those ten years, she has devoted her time to helping others find healthier lifestyles.  Marianne spends her time outside of the gym with her two children Quinton (4) and Kahlan (1). 

Marianne is also a Licensed Massage Therapist at Fitness Concepts. Her massage therapy training was obtained from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. You can make an appointment with Marianne at the front desk.

Ellen is a Fitness Consultant that never stops smiling.  She encourages people to ask questions about anything they may want to know about Fitness Concepts, and promotes everyone to take full advantage of what the facility has to offer.  If you want a scrumptious smoothie and an energetic conversation, she’s the one to see!

 

When she’s not working at the club, taking classes, or making new friends, she is at school. Ellen is a full time student at Worcester State College, double majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology. She can not wait to instill in her future learners the importance of integrating health and fitness into all aspects of life, and just how fun it can really be!

Vinnie is the Accounts Manager who can answer any questions you may have regarding your membership or billing.  He received an Associate's Degree in the field of Criminal Justice from MWCC in 2003.

Outside of the club Vinnie is the Owner and Chief Instructor of Gardner Martial Arts Academy here in Gardner.  In his spare time (what's that???) Vinnie enjoys playing his guitar, banjo, mandolin, percussion instruments, writing music and poetry, hiking, target shooting and being a free-lance philosopher.

Vinnie also enjoys reading and laughing.

 Vicki is one of our member services employees extraodinaire.  Vicki works during our night time hours, and would love to help you with anything you may need.  The positive energy Vicki brings to our facility is contagious!  Vicki has a strong passion for health and well being.  In May of 2010 Vicki will be graduating with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and hopes to continue her education from there.  Vicki is an artist at heart, and utilizes her painting talent as self therapy and self expression.  Vicki loves to dance, sing, create, spend time with friends and family, try new things, travel, and well of course exercise!  Vicki just recently became certified to teach BodyAttack, and she is a natural group motivator!
Rachael joined our staff in the Fall of 08, as part of our front desk team.  Rachael takes care of the early morning hours here at our club, please feel free to ask Rachael to help you!

Rachael has quite the work experience in her young life.  Rachael spent six seasons working and crew leading on the Appalachian Mountain Club's Professional Trail Crew.  She also spent two seasons on the winter construction crew.  During that time Rachael climbed all of the 4 and 5 thousand foot mountains, and got the opportunity to rock climb as well!  Prior to her mountain adventures, she worked in Southern California to restore fire damaged houses from the wildfires of 2008.

Rachael has plans to enroll at Mount Wachusset Community College in the Fall for Health and Human Services.  Currently she is certified as a Nursing Assistant from Sanford, Maine.

Katie is the newest addition to our staff, and a wonderful addition!  Katie can help you with anything you may need at the front desk.  Currently, Katie attends Fitchburg State College working towards her degree in Sociology with a minor in History.  Her expected date of graduation is May of 2011.  Katie would like to enter into the health field, specifically working with children.  Katie has a passion for all sports, and you will see her in almost every group fitness class here at the club!

Marianne started her path with Group Fitness here at Fitness Concepts about one year ago, and has never looked back!  In just one year she became certified to teach BodyAttack, BodyStep, BodyVive and Silver Sneakers.  Teaching group fitness is by far one of Marianne's most rewarding jobs.  Marianne is very passionate about sharing Group Fitness with those that have never done it before, please feel free to ask her questions she would love to help you!

Anthony is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer as well as a BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyCombat, BodyStep, BodyJam and RPM certified instructor. He has worked in the health and fitness industry for 18 years as a personal trainer and group exercise leader.
 
His personal workout routine consists of BodyPump and BodyJam twice a week as well as BodyCombat and RPM once a week. He enjoys running frequently and trail bike riding. He also finished the Boston Marathon 4 years in a row and competes in the High-Tech Balance Bar Adventure Race.

Chris is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified personal trainer. Chris also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Worcester State College. He teaches RPM actively on Friday evenings. If you are looking for a great way to end your week and start your weekend, sign up for his class held at 4:30.

Chris spends most of his other time out on the workout floor training clients one on one and also in small groups. "I love what I do and I’d love the chance to show YOU!"

Matt is a certified RPM and BodyPump instructor and has been teaching both classes for over three years. Teaching four RPM classes and two Pump classes per week Matt has built the framework to compete in many fitness events including adventure racing, numerous half marathons, and several triathlon events consisting of sprint, olympic, and half iron man distances.

When not teaching class or training with clients, Matt enjoys his own strength training routines most nights of the week. As a recent graduate from Worcester State College with a business degree he aspires to excel in the fitness industry as a professional.

Dayna has a B.S. In nursing from Fitchburg State College and is a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Her passion for group fitness began here at Fitness Concepts. She is currently Body Step and Silver Sneaker certified. Her goal is to get Body Vive and Body Pump certified in the near future!

In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband and two little girls. She participates in all 8 Les Mills group fitness programs 5-7 days per week and loves to personal train with Matt!
Joyce has her B.S. in Nursing from Salem State College. She has been working as a Registered Nurse for 14 years and has been working in the fitness industry for 8 years.

Joyce is a certified BodyPump, BodyStep, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, BodyJam, and Silver Sneaker instructor. She has recently become certified in BodyVive and BodyAttack. 

Joyce ran the 2000 Boston Marathon and competes in adventure racing. When she is not at the club, she is spending time with her teenage children and her dog, Koco!

Bermon has been teaching BodyFlow for a couple of years now and still enjoys it as much as he did in the beginning! He loves getting feedback from the members that take his class and is honored that he can be a part of helping members achieve their goals.

Kendrick is a RPM certified instructor who rocks the microphone during our early morning RPM classes. Kendrick can now be found teaching in the evenings too.

When he's not on a bike you can catch him practicing his skills in one of our BodyCombat classes; Kendrick is highly skilled in martial arts and partcipates in his own floor exercise routines two to three times per week.

Katie happily became a member of the Les Mills family in 2007 and is currently a certified Body Flow, Body Attack, and RPM instructor. Prior to joining FitConcepts, she trained and worked out "solo" for many years, and truly appreciates the energy and enthusiasm found in Group Fitness. She loves the passion and dedication of the participants, and especially all of those 5:30 a.m. smiles!
 
Katie holds a Bachelors of Illustration in Fine Arts from UMass Dartmouth, and owns/operates a small business that designs and creates products for the childrens' market.
 
She has always loved athletics and is 4-season runner who enjoys competing in triathalons and marathon distance races, including the Boston Marathon. She is looking forward to the challenge of the Ford Ironman triathalon in 2009.
 
When not teaching or training, Katie is enjoying a busy life with her 5 kids, many pets, and hubby Kevin. Her goal is to maintain her healthy and active lifestyle, and to encourage others to take charge of their health through exercise.
Tammy is a BodyVive and SilverSneakers certified instructor. When she's not teaching she’s participating in all eight Les Mills programs five days a week, and also enjoys taking some of the additional programs that our Personal Trainers have to offer.

Tammy graduated from Narragansett Regional High School and has worked at Heywood Hospital for many years.When she is not at the club she enjoys hiking, biking, shopping, hanging by the pool and spending time with her son, twin daughters, family and friends.

Diane teaches BodyVive, BodyFlow, and Silver Sneakers here at Fitness Concepts. She also teaches the Art of Dance 4 days a week (ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hiphop,and acrobatics). Teaching helps keep her active and has allowed her to become a much stronger person inside and out.

She has earned a BS in Early Childhood Education from Worcester State College and also holds a Masters Degree from Dance Masters of America, NE Chapter 5.   

She is a proud mother of two strong and healthy young boys and loves spending time with her caring and supportive husband.


Kim has been teaching at the club since it opened in 2004. She has a true passion for group fitness and the Les Mills programs - having fun every time she teaches or takes a class! She is currently certified in BodyCombat, BodyFlow, BodyPump, BodyJam, BodyAttack and BodyStep.
 
She also has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music Education and a full time job as a music teacher at a middle school in Leominster.

Joel is a real live Fitness Concepts success story having lost over 70 pounds since joining in 2004. He joined our BodyStep team in 2005 and has since also become certified to teach RPM, BodyJam, and BodyPump. He has recently achieved a BodyAttack certification. 
 
A professionally trained singer, dancer, and actor; Joel strives to bring all the excitement of a full theatrical production to our stage with each of his classes. If your looking for an exciting, motivational, and entertaining workout Joel is the one to see!
Derek graduated from Gardner High School and attended UMASS Amherst graduating with a B.A.degree in Building Sciences and a minor in Business Administration.  He is the Senior Project Manager for an Environmental Engineering firm in Boston.

Along with being an RPM certified instructor he enjoys BodyCombat and extensive weight and circuit training.  Derek's hobbies include golf, fishing, cooking, watching all sports and watching the Sopranos or any other Mafia films.  His intensity and humor make his class one that will increase endurance and burn calories.

Becky has been teaching Les Mills programs at Fitness Concepts for 2 years now and is loving every bit of it! Her passion is to teach others to strive to be the best they can be with a little pain and a whole lot of fun. Weekly she teaches BodyStep, BodyPump, BodyJam, BodyAttack and BodyCombat.

She is also our Assistant Group Fitness Manager and is looking forward to making your class experience at Fitness Concepts a sensational one!

Becky has a Bachelors of Music Education in Voice and the Performing Arts and is a Music Prof. at Mount Wachusett Community College. Look carefully and you might see her on stage in one of their productions.

In her spare time she loves to cook, sing, play piano, hang with family, and, of course, go shopping!

Laura is a NASM certified personal trainer with a degree in Health Science. She has an athletic background in track and cross-country and now enjoys training for sprint and Olympic distance triathlons as well as half-marathons. She also enjoys playing volleyball, skating, and hiking with her family.

As a mother of five young children, she finds that exercise gives her the energy to keep up with a busy schedule. Her desire is to help other women reach their physical fitness goals through group or one-on-one training.

Chris has a background in high school athletics from St. Bernards where he played varsity football. Matt has been working in the fitness industry for over three years. He is currently a NASM certified personal trainer, AFAA personal fitness trainer, and an ACE and AFAA group fitness instructor. His certifications also include BodyPump and RPM. As a college graduate from Worcester State he aspires to pursue a career as a fitness professional helping others reach their goals.

Matt's personal accomplishments include adventure racing, half marathons, and triathlons of sprint, Olympic, and half iron man distances. Matt has an athletic background playing high school varsity sports such as baseball, football, and hockey. Having great success working one on one with clients of all fitness levels and abilities, Matt enjoys a career in the fitness industry where he can help others with a hands on approach to fitness and well-being.

Matt also hosts group training programs regularly where friends can team up to work out together with him or individuals can meet new workout partners and train with him as well.

Lauren graduated from Northern Arizona University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Management in 2008.  She’s AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified in Primary Group Instruction, and is one of our fabulous KidFit Coaches.  Since joining us in 2009, Lauren has become a Les Mills certified instructor for Body Pump and is hoping to expand on her certifications in the near future.  As a long time athlete, Lauren is a state champion swimmer, and cross country runner, and enjoys the outdoors, hiking and running trails, and adventure.  She’s completed many 5Ks, 10Ks, a half marathon, Boston Marathon 2010, and hopes to continue adding long races and triathlons in the near future.
Pamela received her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Nichols College, and has completed 108 credits toward B.S. Exercise & Sports Science from Fitchburg State College. Pamela is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and an AIFE Certified Older Adult Fitness trainer. She also has certificates in Advanced Training in Weight Management and in Marathon Training.
Pamela  holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate. She is also a 1st Degree Reiki practitioner. In addition she is certified in First Aid and CPR.  Pamela has worked 20+ years in the business/accounting field (12 years as a tax practitioner).

Born in Athol, Pamela has been strength training for 20 years. She ran the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2005, a 1/2 Marathon in 2003 and several local 5-mile & 5K road races.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Pamela enjoys running, biking, boating and snowmobiling. She also enjoys spending time with her family & friends, going to the beach and nice long vacations.

Hogan is NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is currently undergoing his third year of study at Springfield College, majoring in Applied Exercise Science.  With little time left remaining in school, Hogan plans on continuing his education at Springfield College to earn his Master's Degree in Strength and Conditioning.  Hogan looks forward to making a career out of working alongside athletes.

Marianne Bedard, LMT
Marianne joined the staff at Fitness Concepts during the summer of 2006.  Marianne is a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Massachusetts.  She completed her training at Bancroft School of Massage in the summer of 2005.  Marianne also received training in Myofascial Release Techniques I.  Marianne's passion with massage therapy is to help her clients suffering from chronic pain.  Guiding her clients to living a life that may help to relieve this pain, as well as providing massage techniques that work the body's physiology to relieve pain.  Marianne also greatly enjoys providing massage that provides relaxation and calmness to the body.  Allowing her client to rejuvenate and experience a sense of overall well being.  In addition to massage therapy, Marianne has her bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and has been working in the fitness industry for over ten years.  You might also find Marianne in the Group Fitness room teaching many of the classes on the Group Fitness schedule here at Fitness Concepts for she is certified in Silver Sneakers, BodyStep, BodyVive and BodyPump.
Bonnie Keaveny, LMT
A life long Gardner area resident, is a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner.  She received her level 1 and 2 Reiki from the Center for Wellbeing in Fitchburg, MA in 1996.  She completed an extensive 900 hour program at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA in August of 2001.  In may of 2006 she received a certificate in Spa Stone Massage.  Upon graduating, she conducted a business out of her home until February of 2004 when she opened her business here at Fitness Concepts.
